NEW YORK, December 2012 — Glitter Groupe Media has launched it’s third digital publication, Sorority Stylista (www.sororitystylista.com). Sorority Stylista is a style contributor network targeted towards and maintained by members of sororities nationwide. The publication features content composed by “stylistas” who report on trends, styles, and fads directly from one of 26 national sororities found at their college/university.
“Sorority Stylista seamlessly combines style and sorority together unlike any other style or fashion-based publication,” says Caroline Orlando, CEO of Glitter Groupe Media. “Every chapter will eventually be represented on Sorority Stylista. It will be the go-to spot for women in sororities who are looking to be inspired by style and trends.”
Users easily can filter through content by college, sorority, category, and trend. Looking to be inspired by winter trends found at Chi Omega at University of Georgia? A variety of articles, photos, and tutorials created by Stylistas are just a click away.
Not only does Sorority Stylista provide a place for sorority sisters to share their style tips, tricks, and trends, but it allows users to learn more about culture-driven fads and trends found at chapters nationwide. “The sorority market is exponentially growing. Sorority Stylista will provide marketers with better insight as to who their target consumer really is,” says Orlando, “who she is, what she wears, and how she wears it.”
To register their chapter, stylistas must pass “Style Chapter Initiation”, an application-like process that takes about 30 minutes and is used to ensure that stylistas meet the standards and criteria required of all Glitter Groupe Media interns/contributors. Every chapter must maintain at least two stylistas (one president and at least one ambassador).
Style ambassadors are responsible for scouring their local campus trends and fashions, taking photos of women on campus, at events, mixers, formals, and conducting interviews/style reports. Content is shortly thereafter edited and published on Sorority Stylista, categorized by the stylista’s school and sorority affiliation.
Style presidents oversee their chapters style ambassadors and report to higher level management. Additionally, style presidents engage in managerial-like tasks, such as recruiting new ambassadors, creating campus marketing strategy, developing local business and industry contacts and relations, and event planning/fundraising.
Featured sororities include: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Epsilon Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Xi Delta, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Delta Phi Epsilon, Delta Zeta, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Phi Mu, Phi Sigma Sigma, Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Delta Tau, Sigma Kappa, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Theta Phi Alpha, and Zeta Tau Alpha.
