CocoKouture, an online publication featuring fashion, style, and trends-based content, has been removed from the Glitter Groupe Media network effective February 1, 2014, citing “poor metrics” and “lack of market share”.
“It’s a sad day for us,” says Caroline Orlando, CEO of Glitter Groupe Media, “but we have a number of niche-driven replacement channels set to launch this year, which will contain bits and pieces of CocoKouture.”
CocoKouture was Glitter Groupe Media’s first digital publication. Launched in January 2010, the publication featured content from over 250 college-aged contributors world-wide. Features included interviews with celebrities, bloggers, fashion designers, and general pieces on style, celebrity buzz, trends, shopping, deals, entertainment, and beauty.
The highest rated CocoKouture column, Blog Spotter, has been segregated and relaunched as it’s own channel, called “Blogspotter”. The original column featured interviews with fashion and style bloggers. The new channel is a “collection of conversations with the style influencers of the web”, which “features detailed interviews with fashion and beauty bloggers from around the world”. Blogspotter will launch on February 1, 2014 at blogspotter.co.
